Role purpose:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to manager the online marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the marketing strategy in the areas of online advertising and promotions, partnerships, affiliates, search, email, SEO, mobile, emerging technologies and membership clubs.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager to develop the marketing strategy for STA Travel UK Division.
- Generate demand via online and digital platforms to satisfy all distribution channels of STA Travel and deliver to the UK sales and revenue targets.
- Manage all online partnership activity – including negotiations, performance and content creation.
- Manage all PPC activity by overseeing and optimising the PPC agency’s performance, identify .opportunities for improvement and ensure accurate tracking of activity.
- Manage the content creation and inclusion of third party offers via email, as well as optimisation of the effectiveness of communications.
- Manage the execution of the customer contact strategy.
- In conjunction with the product team and Marketing Manager, provide advice on best practice and oversee delivery of all promotional campaigns online as well as via other digital platforms.
- Manage the UK division’s SEO activity to ensure increased ranking.
- Monitor competitor activity within the online and digital space.
- Manage the day to day process of refreshing website content, including offers, competitions, third party placement and other content as required.
- Manage all social media and mobile activities.
- Develop, manage and motivate direct reports.
Manage assigned budgets and assist with forecasting.
Contribute to ad-hoc company projects and deliverables, as required.
Key skills:
- Minimum of 3 years in an online marketing role.
- Demonstrate capabilities across all the areas of responsibility, with evidence of results that have been achieved – ideally in a travel environment.
- Creative, understand the online environment, have a passion for travel and understanding of new technologies and good commercial awareness.
- Commercial mind and an understanding of ROI.
- Build strong relationships with key partners and must have the confidence to work both autonomously, as part of a team and multi-task.
